Tuberculosis

In 2019 as a result of COVID 19, we embarked on a project to locally produce PPE masks and have them distributed to staff and patients at facilities in Liberia. Thanks to our small contributors  who made this possible.

Now while we still focus on providing PPEs for COVID 19,  we want you to contribute or volunteer  to provide training for our community staff for awareness on the spread, prevention, symptoms of TB and what to do when you are experiencing these symptoms.

Based on our  assessments, what is certain is a lack of education on the disease. We believe if locals are knowledgeable through awareness, the spread will be significantly controlled while we diagnose and treat the infected. Awareness and education of TB now is critical to halt the upward trend.

We can not stand idly by while watching our people suffer and die from a disease for which treatment is available. Together we can solve this problem by stopping the upward trend of Tuberculosis infection. Volunteer with us, or contribute to this cause. Let’s  save lives through awareness, diagnosis and treatment to stop the spread of TB in Liberia now.

There are many health challenges in Liberia that need attention. Of these challenges, OFCET-Liberia focuses on the control and eradication of tuberculosis. With your help and the necessary tools and resources in place, we can make Liberia tuberculosis free.

Our mission is to mobilize international and national organizations in a collaborative humanitarian effort to control and eradicate Tuberculosis in Liberia; focusing on tuberculosis awareness, testing, and treatment.  Lastly, we aim to renovate and maintain TB facilities in communities with limited resources.
