JUSTIFICATION
Years of civil crisis, desensitization, and inadequate funding have taken away focus from awareness and treatment geared to containing and eradicating TB in Liberian communities.
While the disease is rapidly spreading, medical facilities are ill-equipped to properly treat patients and contain the disease. We cannot stand idly, watching our people suffer and die of a disease for which treatment is available and has been eradicated in many parts of the world, especially in developed countries.
Passivity is not an option for OFCET-Liberia, especially when there exist 21st. Century remedies for tuberculosis.
MISSION
Our mission is to mobilize international and national organizations in a collaborative humanitarian effort to control and eradicate Tuberculosis in Liberia; focusing on tuberculosis awareness, testing, and treatment. Lastly, we aim to renovate and maintain TB facilities in communities with limited resources.
